► Nov 20th, Dr. Yan Lu from Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie, Germany visited our group and gave a lecture titled "Functional Hybrid Materials Based on Colloidal particles".

► Early Sep., Dr. Guosong Chen along with some other distinguished young scholars from China attended the 5th Sino-German Frontiers of Chemistry Symposia held in Berlin by CCS and GDCh and gave an invited lecture. After then, Dr. Chen visited Soft Matter and Functional Materials, Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin fu?r Materialien und Energie.

► July 14th, Professor Cong Liu from Interdisciplinary Research Center on Biology and Chemistry CAS visited our group and gave a lecture titled "Amloid, Friend or Foe"

► June 30th to July 4th, Professor Thomas Seery from University of Connecticut visited our group, and gave us a series of class about light scattering on principle, practice and date treating

► June 7th to 11th the 9th International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry ISMSC-9 was held in Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, CAS, Dr. Guosong Chen from our group gave a contributed lecture named "Carbohydrate-based Macromolecular Self-assembly"

► June 3rd, the Fudan Minisymposia on Polymeric Materials was held in 424, Yuejin Building. We invited Prof. Akira Hirao from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Prof. Filip Du Prez from Ghent University, Prof. Shu Yang form University of Pennsylvania (our group alumnus), Prof. Markus Antonietti and Prof. Jiayin Yuan from MPI Colloids and Interfaces, and Prof. Huisheng Peng, Dr. Guosong Chen from Our group to give lectures on their recent advances. ► Congratulations to Dr. Guosong Chen on her promotion to Full Professor in December.

► Dec 4th, Pengfei Sun from our group passed his Doctoral Dissertation Defense. The title of Sun's doctoral thesis is "Self-assembly of Conjugated Glycopolymers and Thier Biological Functions". Experts from the dissertation committees reached consensus on it being an excellent dissertation.

► Nov.8th, the Academic Seminar of JCY Group this semester was held by Prof. Yao in Room 424 Yuejin Building. As main contents of the seminar, Zhe Zhang, Junqi Yi, Yijiang Liu from the three groups showed their latest achievements respectively.What's more,Yijiang Liu and Jue Wang introduced the usage and maintenance of GPC and rotary evaporators. In the last section, Prof. Ming Jiang made a comment and encouraged our group members work on with confidence and achieve more in the future.

► Oct.31th to Nov.2nd, Prof.Ming Jiang and Dr.Guosong Chen, along with three of the doctoral candidates in our group,who are Mingchang Lin, Jue Wang and Yijiang Liu, attended the Colloid and Interface Chemistry Doctoral Academic Forum held in Wuxi. Prof.Ming Jiang and Dr.Guosong Chen gave a plenary lecture on Macromolecular Self-Assembly Driven by Carbohydrate Chemistry.Mingchang Lin gave a report on the glyco- stereoisomerism effect on hydrogelation of polymers interacting via dynamic covalent bonds and won the prize of Excellent Papers.

► 20 members from our group,including masters and doctors , won the excellent student scholarship for the past academic year(2013-2014).Among them,Mingchang Lin was awarded the Dow Chemical Scholarship and Zhongwei Ji, Pengfei Sun, Zhijia Liu won the first-class scholarship for doctoral candidates.
