Kongchang Wei graduated from our group in 2013 with his doctoral thesis "Polymer-Based Complex Hybrid Self-assembly System". In the past years, he dedicated his postdoc career towards the application of macromolecular self-assembly in novel biomaterials. With a research fellowship supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (2018) and a Spark award (2020) granted by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), he has been working in the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa, Switzerland) to develop biomaterials for cardiovascular tissue engineering since 2018.Kongchang started his permanent Scientist position in October 2021, and will continue to explore the biomedical application of novel macromolecular biomaterials, with his active participation in two important national research initiative: Zurich Heart and Skintegrity.CH.
