At the end of July 2017 to the beginning of August, Professor Guosong Chen visited a number of peer groups of research institutes including the Department of Chemistry of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research Institute, the Helmholtz Berlin Soft Matter Institute and other research institutions.

Prof. Guosong Chen made an academic report entitled “Macromolecular Self-assembly based on carbohydrates” in the Staudinger Lecture Hall at the Max Planck Institute. During her visit to Mainz, Professor Guosong Chen conducted extensive academic exchanges with Prof. Pol Besenius of the University of Mainz, Professor Tanja Weil of Max Planck, and many other peers. Then, Prof. Guosong Chen visited the Berlin Soft Matter research center of the Helmholtz Institute, and communicated with Professor Matthias Ballauff and Professor Yan Lu.
