PhD student Rongying Liu went for exchange studies in Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie
From 27th April to 25th July this year, I am very glad to get the opportunity to scholarly exchange to HZB, which is located at edge of Berlin Wannsee. Just to Berlin, my eyes are full of green, it seems that the whole Berlin was built in a forest.

I felt that the preciseness of German is full-scale after arriving at Germany, lots of civil constructions were built in 18th or 19th century, however, they are all used to date. During collaboration with post-doctor Zdravko, he is always giving professional and detailed replies to any experiment questions I proposed, I have been infected by him as a result of his professional and precise spirt.

I also visited some places of interest of Berlin, such as grand Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Wall, which is filled with cold war smell.

Three-months-Exchange has broadened my academic horizons, thanks professor Lu and post-doctor Shilin Mei for their help as well as CSC for its financial support.
