2024.05.24, Associate Professor Tang Li from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland, was invited to visit our group and gave the report. He gave an academic report entitled "Multidimensional immunoengineering approaches to enhanced cancer immunotherapy". He discussed a new type of immune checkpoint with mechanical basis that is distinct from most known immune checkpoints of biochemical traits and further developed a mechanical intervention to overcome the mechanical immune checkpoint for enhanced cancer immunotherapy. Next, he shared the recent discovery of IL-10 as a metabolic reprogramming agent that reinvigorates the terminally exhausted CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes.
